School Age Services
The speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and licensed professional counselors are experts at connecting with school-aged children. Together with the family and school team, our therapists work to identify and target academic and social areas of need, empower students with self-advocacy skills, and build confidence leading to success in all areas of life.
Our range of therapy services for school-age children, adolescents, and young adults are provided in our clinic-based setting and are one-on-one with a certified professional. Families are always encouraged to be an active part of our therapy sessions in order to facilitate carryover of activities and skills outside of the therapy sessions. Additionally, our adolescent and young adult clients are a critical part of the team. Our therapists work directly with them to identify strengths, weaknesses, and top goals.
Our sessions are scheduled at 30- or 45-minute intervals. The length and frequency of visits are determined based on the clinical profile and needs of the individual student and family.

What Makes CTS Unique for School-Aged Services:
Whether your child is seeing multiple therapists at CTS or not, our multidisciplinary team sets us apart. Our speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and licensed professional counselor consult with one another on a regular basis in order to address all developmental areas of need.
Specialists, Not Just Therapists
The majority of therapists at CTS have an area of specialty, which means that your child will be paired with a therapist who has the necessary expertise to address their unique needs. Our therapists seek out advanced training in specialty areas and use evidence-based methods to create lasting change.
Our team includes certified professionals with advanced degrees rather than tutors. Our therapists are up-to-date on current research, best practices and have the clinical training to provide effective therapy.
Additional Programs, A Wholistic View
CTS has designed additional programming with a wholistic view such as homework support, study skills, social skills groups, support groups, and various summer camps. We work with students and their families to address concerns beyond the clinic walls so success transfers to the classroom.
We Can Address Your Concerns
We are not constrained by school eligibility or health insurance, allowing us to provide services for children who may slip through the cracks elsewhere. We will do an evaluation and figure out a plan together.
